This is a standard Solvent Recycling/Trap Adapter for the S3600/S3614 Oil Filters. It fits many others with the same 3/4-16 threads.
These have knurling and wrench flats for a 13/16 crescent wrench.
Stainless Adapters have a medium-grey, uniform, matte finish. Much darker than the stock photo above suggests.
4140 Chromium-Molybdenum Steel (not Aluminum or low-carbon steel) Adapters sandblasted. Then, they’re Manganese Phosphate Parkerized. Please note that Parkerizing color and consistency are directly related to the metal surface and cannot be completely controlled. It’s a minor trade-off for the superior protection and durability.
NOTICE: When you receive your Parkerized adapter, be sure to wipe it down well and apply a liberal (ew, liberals, gross!) coating of oil. It will be thirsty! The corrosion resistance of Parkerized materials is dependent upon the micro-crystalline structure sponging-up oil. WD40 makes an excellent anhydrous initiator, and you probably already have some. Real gun oil of your choice is better, but since the Parkerizing process uses water, you should use WD40 in the beginning to make sure that all the wet is out. You’ll undoubtedly find some “gunk” on it and in the threads by the time it arrives. The oil often displaces “gunk” precipitated from the Parkerizing process as it soaks in, just wipe it down and re-oil it. After a day or two of that, it’ll be fine. Parkerizing flat surfaces is much easier than threads and crevices, there may be more gunk than you’re used to.
M9x0.75 Threads are found on the Factory Threaded Sig Mosquito (aftermarket barrels are generally 1/2-28) and a few .22lr AR variants.
1/2-28 Threads are freakin’ everywhere. There are tons of guns/barrels with these threads. Way too many to list. Most USA Firearms 9mm and under have these. .223/5.56 AR-15s are pretty much guaranteed to be this. Most .22lr firearms, with a quantity of notable exceptions…
1/2-36 is most common on USA-made 9mm ARs. Some 6.8SPCs have it. Not very common on anything else.
M13.5x1LH is a thread found on many non-USA threaded 9mm handguns. Euro guns tend to be more diversified in thread types, so, it may fit many others.
You will not find my products on eBayTM or AmazonTM, nor do I accept PayPalTM. Why? These organizations donate tons of money to anti-gun lobbyists. If you conduct business with these organizations, you are donating your money to gun control.
These support a standard washer for 3/4in bolts. You can get them at any hardware store or home improvement store. Washers are optional and not included because they are only useful when using the adapter/filter as a storage canister. Most people pour back back and forth a few times to filter a few passes and then back into the original container.
You are buying a Thread Adapter. Nothing but the adapter is included.
WARNING: There is a fine line between Solvent Trap/Recycler and Illegal Silencer. While it seems like a cool, simple, cheap, common-sense thing to do to reduce noise pollution and protect your hearing without the crazy safety risks created by earmuffs, it is, in fact, illegal to make a silencer or suppressor from a filter, or anything else, for that matter. Holy run-on sentences, Batman! Solvent recycling device, legal. Unregistered silencer, illegal. Getting a Filter Suppressor registered on a Form 1 is unclear and may not even be possible. The ATF has provided conflicting information. You’ve been advised.
